Beth's headed to Farmington

I got the ok to travel from my doctors office on Thursday and I am flying to Farmington on Tuesday the 3rd. I am excited to go home because my brother Derrick will be there for a few days. I have not seen Derrick or Sallee since Christmas so that will be fun. My Aunt Lorie and her kids are going to be in town as well so it should be a fun two weeks in Farmington. Two whole weeks! Josh and I have never been apart for that long and are not looking forward to the time apart. I feel like I have grown so close to him while I have been pregnant. I have needed his love and support more than ever in the past seven months and he has been the most wonderful husband through it all. I am sure he will be super bored without me here. Our memorial day weekend was a ton of fun. We spent Saturday and Sunday with family and had a blast. It was so nice to get to spend some time in the sunshine. Josh had his first two tests and we came out 50/50 one good and one not so good for grades. He is so excited to be learning to adjust and can't wait for his table to come in the mail. It is such a blessing to be here in Texas and for Josh to be able to go to school. I know it will continue to be a blessing throughout our lives.

Update

It's been a few days since our last blog. Josh starts his labs at school this week and has his first test of the trimester next week. So he is already studying so he can get a good grade. I found out last Thursday that I supposedly have gestational diabetes, and now have to monitor my blood sugar four times a day and eat on a meal plan. I have not been following the meal plan exact and have had no problems with my glucose levels. The nurse I talked to yesterday said that they were actually on the lower side. Josh and I believe that the glucose test is flawed because small women have less blood and therefore will have higher levels of glucose when given the same amount of drink as big women. Hopefully the nurse said yesterday if they stay steady to low then my doctor will allow me to only test twice a day for the remaining 12-13 weeks of my pregnancy. All the other tests that they have given me at the doctor have been good, she has a healthy heart and brain and my doctor said that eliminates most chances of something wrong. All I want is a healthy baby! We have a busy week, last night we surprised a guy in Josh's tri at school with cake. He lives with his mom and is not married and his mom was out of town so we brought a birthday surprise. Wednesday we are getting together to watch the season finale of American Idol. Friday we have a bbq with some of our great friends. Saturday we are spending the day with my family. Sunday is the usual church and Monday Josh will be studying.

Our very first blog

This is our very first blog. We decided to start a blog so that all of our friends and our family could be updated on what is going on in our little family. This way we can share news and events of our lives and photos of our little girl coming in August. We are so excited to be parents and can't wait for Taytum to get here. Josh is in Tri 3 of Chiropractic School here in Dallas, TX and I am staying home right now getting ready for the baby. We are so excited to start blogging.
