Taytum is finally here!

So she is here! After 16 hours of labor our little baby girl is finally here. She is so precious, every day I fall more in love with her. I think she is the cutest baby ever, but I am kind of partial. She is worth every hour of labor. Her daddy is a very proud pappa and loves showing her off when a few of our friends have stopped by. I will have to tell the labor story on another post, it is pretty funny. For now we are just loving our little one and enjoying having her in our family.

We're having a baby

Josh and I went to the doctor today and he said he really wants to induce me somehow tomorrow, he said that there is not a lot of fluid around the baby and that he would not want me to go past friday. Josh and I wanted to go naturally so we discussed what would be happening tomorrow. Basically he said that because we wanted to go more naturally that he would do the least invasive things possible and try to allow me to go drug free. He said there is something that you take by mouth that softens your cervix and can put you into labor. Hopefully this is the case, he also said he would wait to break my water because it tends to be less painful that way. My doctor is really nice and part of me thinks he is doing this out of selfishness and that he wants to do it on his schedule. But the rest of me is more worried about having a healthy baby. This way works out the best in that my parents are going to be able to know when we are having a baby and might even leave tonight. I am glad my mom is coming, she helps me to be more rational. Josh might miss his last test, which I don't like at all. Hopefully his teacher will let him take it another time or something. I was so blessed (thank you Josh) to get to pamper myself today. I got an hour long massage from Lyndsey and then got a pedicure. I told Lyndsey to massage the crap out of my legs and feet because I wanted to go into labor. It was so relaxing and enjoyable and for 20 bucks I will definitley do that again.

Oops I swallowed a basket ball !

Josh's mom really wanted some pictures of my pregnant belly. Last night after Josh was done studying he took some pictures of me in Taytum's nursery. I am so huge! I am so glad that the day is soon approaching that I will get to have this baby in my arms instead of my belly. Only one week until Josh is done with school. That day I am walking a marathon to try to go into labor. That being that I don't go before then. Today I was having contractions for like an hour and a half and then I stressed my self out so much thinking of going into labor with my husband far away and busy studying that I think I gave myself nausea and had to lay down for like an hour to feel better. Some days the thought of being induced and knowing that my baby will come that day with my husband there and my parents on the way is such a comforting thought. But the actual induction is not. I will keep everyone updated with the big day on the way.

Our new apartment!!!

Well we are all moved now, we went to our old apartment this afternoon after church and cleaned and got everything out of it. So I guess we are officially moved, now we are just spending every free moment unpacking boxes trying to find our house in this mess. I really love our new apartment, it is so much bigger and nicer than what we were in before. I can't wait to set up my nursery and bring my new baby home to this wonderful house. We had so much help with the big move, a special thanks to Amy for helping me with breakfast, and to Scott, Joe, Tim, Steve, Ken, the Elders, and the Flosom's for all your help providing the trucks and moving all our heavy crap. I feel a little useless because I can't move any of the boxes without having contractions so I have just been unpacking the kitchen, bathroom and closet. The things we needed to function. I am so excited for my parent's to come down when Taytum is born and even more excited that we now have a space for them to stay. I am sure I will be busy getting everything just right in our new home. Thanks to Josh for putting up with my crazyness and anxiety for the past week. I am so excited for our new beginning.

Elliot came over to play

Saturday night Josh and I babysat for our friends Katie and Scott while they went to the Brad Paisley concert. I was so glad that we could because Katie was stressed about the babysitting situation due to the fact that she was running on little sleep from Elliot staying up all night. He was so much fun and was such a good boy. He always is such a well behaved little guy. You could tell he was a little tired when he was dropped off at our house but loved playing with our little cabbage patch kid and being the good babysitters we are we stuck him in his own cardboard box to play. He loved it, Josh would hide under the box, then Elliot would hide, then Elliot would climb the box. Elliot loved playing the guitar with Josh, he wanted to strum it himself. At about 8 we drove Elliot to his house and I have never seen a kid want to go to sleep so bad in my life. As soon as I gave him his bottle he thrust his head into my arms and proceed to fall asleep as he drank. As soon as the bottle was gone that kid was out like a light. This experience was completely opposite from the last time we watched the poor kid. Josh and I watched a movie and overall had a pretty fun night with our little friend Elliot.
