Ladybug Baby Shower

Saturday my wonderful friends Sarah, Katie, and Amy threw me a baby shower. It was so cute! Sarah had everything themed ladybugs like Taytum's room will be. Even her favors had black, white, and red dots painted on them. I so appreciate and love the friends I have made here in Texas. I am sure we will all keep in touch long after our husbands are done with school. I got some way cute outfits and some much needed supplies and advice on becoming a mommy. Most of the pictures are slightly blurred because I was always moving. (And I wonder where my daughter gets if from) But some came out really good(thanks Amy for taking lots of pictures).

One Busy Week

This week is going to be a busy week. This morning I had a phone hearing for our food stamps, by the way the government can be really retarded. Tomorrow I have an appointment with my doctor in the morning and in the afternoon I have an appointment at the WIC office. When your poor college students having a baby you take advantage of all the free stuff you can get. Thursday I have an appointment with my intern at Parker and hopefully she will turn out to be a good adjuster because being 8 1/2 months pregnant is pain enough. Friday is Josh's day to drive carpool and Saturday is my baby shower. I am so excited that my wonderful friends Sarah, Amy, and Katie are throwing me this baby shower. I am the only one in our group having their first baby (unless Amy is pregnant and not telling anyone) so it is wonderful to get advice and have fun with more experienced mothers. Next week I am going to get the boxes that my Aunt Laurie was gracious enough to provide and start packing up our apartment for the move. I am not sure where I am going to put everything but it will definitley be a packed house, no pun intended. We are already getting cramped with the things I have for Taytum. Josh only has two tests this week, and last week he did wonderful in his neuro class. He got a 92 on this test and 91 on his last. Pretty good for the hardest class this trimester. I am so proud of him. He works so hard for our family.

July 4th Weekend.

This weekend Josh had lots of time off of school (three and a half days) so we pretty much just hung out with each other. It was so much fun just to be able to relax. We went and saw Hancock with our friends Tyler and Toni Petersen, and the four of us experiences Bahama Bucks together for the first time. It was really yummy but pretty expensive. Saturday we went on a grocery shopping date and watched a movie at home. We also picked up a changing table that I found on craigslist for 35 bucks. Taytum's crib also arrived in the mail and Josh let me sneak a peek through the top of the box. It is so beautiful, I can't wait to set it up. We have just about everything that we need for our nursery. The only other big item that I would like is a rocker/glider, but we don't really have the money for one now. We signed a lease at the Oaks apartment complex across the intersection. It is really really nice, but we will have to be mean bugeters to pay for it. We move into that apartment Saturday August 9. So we have a bought a month to get everything packed up and ready for our great friends to come and help us move. Last weekend we went to Lake Dallas and had a bbq with some older tri Parker students. It was fun and Josh and a bunch of other people went for a little dip in the lake. Me I just stayed on shore and took some pictures. I went to another doctors appointment and the nurse said that everything is looking great with the baby and that I am not anemic. We are getting close to our due date which is so exciting. With all this heat and humidity I am so ready to not be pregnant. I think Josh is ready too. (for me not to be pregnant I mean) We are excited for my parents to be able to come down when Taytum comes and wish more of our family could come. My friend Sarah Rutter is throwing me a baby shower on the 19 and I am so glad that I have such good friends here in Texas. It will be a busy week that week. All in all everything is great!
