It's been far too long since we've had any update on our little blog - so I took the liberty to update it myself (this is Josh, and I usually stay away from this electronic scrapbooky stuff).
Taytum is still getting HUGE. Oh my goodness, it honestly scares me. If she keeps growing at the rate she has been, she'll be past our size by the time she is seven. That's what me and Beth get for being the runts in both of our families. We both have one regular/tall parent, and one small parent. So it is about a 50/50 chance that our kids will be regular/tall size. It would just be weird to have toddlers toppling all over you. Time will tell...
For me, things have been REAL busy. We have boards in less than three weeks - we take the first test of four that determines whether or not we can graduate as Doctors of Chiropractic. The test consists of everything we have learned in the past year (which is a lot!) and spans over two days. Long, long, long. So we've been having board reviews in the evening after our regular classes (that can go from 7 in the morning to 5 at night), and on the weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), and then starting it all over again the next week. On top of that we have to keep passing the tests we are taking with our regular vigorous schedule (30 credit hours w/ labs). It's an uphill battle, but it will be over quickly.
Luckily, I have the best wife and daughter in the world. I've frequently told those close to me that it has been my most enjoyable thing in my recent life to come home from one of these days, walk through the door, and be greeted w/ the biggest smile and squeal from Taytum, and a kiss on the cheek from my beautiful wife. At that instant, I am instantly reenergized and excited w/ life again - despite the grueling grind. Life would not be as sweet without those two and their support. Bethanie is the best friend and support I could ever ask for - and Taytum doesn't even realize it, but she is one of the funniest people I have ever met (and I've met a lot).
The pictures below were taken the other day as Beth took Taytum on one of their walks. A while back I took her on a run in January, and it was a bit chilly - the run probably bumped her immune system down a notch and she fell prey to an upper respiratory tract infection that gave her a pretty bad run w/ a croup cough - so I've been hesitant to take her again. Luckily, the weather has just started to become beautiful! Bethanie frequently takes advantages of these gorgeous days and takes Taytum out - she absolutely loves it! She's a vampire-like baby that thrashes and squints and grunts when she first gets out into the sunlight, but after realizing that she's not melting away, she screams and smiles like crazy.
Enjoy the pics!
